Christmas eve

Tomorrow is Christmas eve and I am so excited. My Christmas present from my dad is still not here yet but we still have tomorrow and it might get here but I might have to have a Christmas after Christmas. We are having a candle lighting service tomorrow and we are going to take some Christmas pictures. Tomorrow I will put them on the blog. Here is another hint: you can carry it around.

Christmas storys

This year our local newspaper had a Christmas story contest and we all wrote stories. Brock and Simon got first place in both there groups and here are their stories.

The Story of Mercury

Once upon a time there was a little black lab. His name was Mercury. Mercury has a red collar. Mercury is Santa’s dog; he helps the reindeer know where to fly because he knows how to talk reindeer talk. It was the day before Christmas Eve and all the elves were working very hard on the presents.

Meanwhile, there was this guy that really hated Santa with all his heart. So he made this plan……...

“Santa, Santa wake up!! We have a problem,” said Jim the head elf. “Mercury is gone” “What!? Show me the video footage.” “I know who that is,” said Santa. “It is Mr. Mean! Get me the spies!”
Meanwhile, Mr. Mean had Mercury in a cage hanging over boiling lava. Then Mercury started barking when he heard footsteps. The door busted open and five little black balls the size of bowling balls rolled in. Mr. Mean went over and poked one. It jumped up and kicked him in the stomach. One of the little black balls said, “Break”. All the black balls spread out in a circle around Mr. Mean. “Mr. Mean we have you now” said one of the black balls. Two of the black balls jumped onto Mr. Mean’s legs and one jumped on his back, the others started tying him up with magic licorice ropes. One of them jumped on the cage and unlocked the lock. He grabbed Mercury out of the cage and ran out the door. They all jumped in their car and while they were driving back to the workshop, they heard something beeping. One of the spies asked the other, “Do you hear that beeping sound?” “Yeah, I do.” Replied the other spy. “It sounds like it is coming from Mercury.” One of the spies looked at Mercury’s red collar and there was a little red flashing light on it. One of the elves took off Mercury’s collar and threw it out the window. As it fell to the ground it blew up in a black mushroom cloud. “That was a close one,” said one of the spies. “Now let’s go tell Santa the good news.”

They got to Santa’s workshop and ran up to Santa and said, “We found Mercury and Mr. Mean.” They went to the elf cops and turned in Mr. Mean. During the interrogation, that involved a lot of sugar and spice and everything nice Mr. Mean finally broke down. Mr. Mean confessed that he had been angry for years because one Christmas he had sent Santa a letter asking for a black lab and never got one. When Santa heard this, he told Mr. Mean that he had tried to deliver a puppy to him, but it was stolen from under his tree. Mercury heard the news and contacted one of his really good dog friends that had just had black lab puppies and brought one to Mr. Mean. From that day on Mr. Mean declared himself to be known as Mr. Happy and became a part of the North Pole Association.

Santa said, “Good work spies. You are going to get a raise for that!” The next day was Christmas Eve and Mercury started barking, talking to the reindeer to get ready to go. Santa started out in his sleigh to deliver his presents, with Mercury beside him.

Nine Reindeer and a Bear

Once upon a time there was a bear that lived with Santa. Then one day Santa brought him to the sleigh and he wanted to see if the bear could fly. So, he said, “yah” and the bear did not move. Then Rudolph came along and the bear and Rudolph were talking to each other. Santa said, “Lets go”, all the reindeer got in line and Santa left. The bear went to see the elves. The elves were working on making jet skis that fly. The bear got on one of the jet skis and it broke. The elves were like “aaaaahhhhh” what do we do now? Santa is gone and we do not know what to do.” The elves put the bear in a cage. Cupid and Donner came back, and found the bear locked up. “Where is Santa?” asked the bear. Cupid and Donner unlocked the bear and said they had lost Santa and needed help finding him. The bear sniffed Santa’s sleigh out, and they found Prancer and Vixen, but no other reindeer and no Santa. The bear kept sniffing and found Rudolph. “Rudolph, where is Santa?” “I don’t know,” said Rudolph. Suddenly Santa appeared and said, “We need to go get the rest of the reindeer. I left them on top of a house.” Santa returned to the house and the reindeer were gone. Santa went down the chimney and found Blitzen and pulled him back up. Meanwhile, Dasher, Dancer, and Comet had found their way home to find the elves very upset about a broken flying jet ski. Lucky for them Dasher was especially good at fixing mechanics and he was able to finish the flying Jet Ski. Let’s try it out. Dasher, Dancer, and Comet all squished onto the flying Jet Ski and went racing around. Santa got tired of looking for more reindeer and started home. Right before he was about to land at the North Pole a flying jet ski ran into the side of the sleigh! Everyone fell into the snow!! Santa sat up, he had had enough!! He said, “NOW, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph line up and hook up to the sleigh we need to get some presents delivered.” Bear looked sad, as he was still unable to fly. Santa said, Bear, you can come too. Hop onto the flying Jet Ski! All the presents got delivered on Christmas.

Santa’s Reindeer Helping Him on Christmas

Santa’s sleigh is broken and the elves do not have time to make a new one by Christmas. “We need to think of a way we can get these presents delivered,” said Santa. The reindeer talked it over and decided that everyone needed to work in pairs; Cupid and Blitzen, Donner and Rudolph, Dasher and Prancer, Dancer and Vixen, Comet and Santa. The elves showed up with special earpieces to fit in the reindeer’s ears so that they could communicate with each other. “Simon, you are the head elf and you will be in charge of keeping track of where everyone goes so we do not miss anyone and we get everything delivered. “Let’s head out!” Cupid and Blitzen stopped at the first house. They quickly discovered that it was not very easy getting down that chimney. With all the noise they made going down the chimney they woke up Little Bobby. When Little Bobby got up he saw the reindeer and screamed with excitement. He noticed right away the large bag of pixie dust attached to Cupid. Bobby grabbed the pixie dust and quickly put it on his head. Bobby began to fly. His dog started barking and trying to pull Bobby down. Soon Bobby was covered with dog slobber and his pixie dust didn’t work anymore. The reindeer knew they better get out of there quickly. The parents woke up in time to see Bobby covered in slobber. “I saw Santa’s reindeer and they helped me fly!” “Don’t be silly Bobby, come back to bed.” As they were heading back to bed, they heard a lot of footsteps on the roof. “I told you I saw reindeer!” They ran to the window in time to see Cupid and Blitzen fly to the next house.

Dream To Fly
By Noah King

Once upon a time there was a horse, this horse had a dream of flying. But he was a horse not a reindeer so he decided to learn to write so he could write a letter to Santa. So from then on every night when the petting zoo closed he jumped the fence and went and got a pen and paper. He set the paper on the ground and tried to pick up the pen with his hoofs and so it went every night until Christmas Eve. Every night he got better and better and by Christmas Eve he could write as good as a third grader. That night after the zoo closed he jumped the fence and went around to the front where the ticket station was and where the paper would be. But today the stands door was closed and there was a lock on the door. Horse almost went bonkers because he had put in so much time and work to be able write and it was going to be for nothing, but as he thought about it he regained his composure. He wasn’t going to let all that work go to waste, so he started to run around the zoo looking for a way to break the lock. He found a pair of lock breakers, what a coincidence he thought. He grabbed it in his teeth and ran back to the lock. He had gotten fairly good at standing on two hooves, but now that he was in a hurry he couldn’t get his balance. He kept bucking up but it just wasn’t working so he told himself to calm down and to find out how he was going to balance on two hooves. So he started walking in circles. After he was calmed down he tried again. This time he got up for 15 seconds, the next time he stood up for 30 seconds, but then the lock cutters slipped and fell to the ground. He tried to grab the cutters in his hooves but he couldn’t grab them off the ground. He laid down on the ground and grabbed them in his teeth and then through them up in the air and bucked up really fast and tried to catch them. He did this for a half an hour, trying and trying. Finally he decided to take a break and go look for something else to use. He didn’t find anything so he went back to the lock cutters and tried one last time. He put the lock cutters right up to the ticket booth and bucked up. He caught the lock cutters in his hooves, pushed with all his might, and then he heard a snap. He fell back down on four feet and there it was, what he been waiting for, the lock was broken. Horse used his teeth got the lock off the door, he flung the door open, grabbed some paper and a pen, and started writing…
Dear Santa,
Please send me wings or a jet pack or something that helps me fly because flying is my dream.
Horse folded the letter up and put it in the mailbox. All of a sudden he heard something way off in the distance, it was sleigh bells. Could it be, yes it was, it was Santa. Now he could see him flying toward him. Wait, he is going to fast he can’t slow down fast enough. Santa flew right over his head. Horse, with his head hung, low started back to his pen. Just then, the sparkling sleigh with all it’s reindeer and presents flew back over the trees. It swung down and landed right next to horse and a big fat man stepped out of the sleigh and said, “Horse do you want to fly with my reindeer tonight?” Horses mouth dropped open. Then Santa said, “Wait, I almost forgot. You can’t talk.” He climbed up in his sleigh and got into his bag and grabbed a weird looking gun out of it. He shot horse with it. Horse started talking and said, “Yes I want to fly with you tonight.” So he did. The End.

The hint for this post is it has pads. Hope that helps, not  Moahahahahahahahaha

5 More day until Christmas

There is only Five more days until Christmas and it is becoming harder and harder to keep this big secret a secret. But you only have to wait 6 more day or if you are lucky 5 more days. I hope you all are still counting down the days and waiting for the answer to the big surprise. We have a lot more presents under the tree and I have the least so far I only have one and it is super small. I can can't figure out what it is because we have a new rule that as soon as the present gets under the tree we can't touch it or shake it. I think that it is a pretty lame rule because I am a good present guesser. Oh and the hint for today is it will be a lot of fun. There you go that doesn't narrow it down but that is what it is.

9 More Days Until Christmas

Ok I have heard from a lot of you about that little surprise that we have. So I have decided to give you a hint to what it is in every post until Christmas. And the hint for today is it is small. I know that isn't very much of a hint but you will have to live with it. Mohahahaha anyways we have one Christmas presents under the tree and we already know what it is. Do you know any of the present your getting? Don't forget about that hint...

Juneau trip

Okay, over the last week in Juneau we played in the Icebreakers Basketball Tournament and both the boy's teams came in third place. The girl's teams came in second. We got T-shirts and most of the team bought sweat shirts too. One of the reasons we lost is because Jordon our big player played on the A-team instead of the B-team. I got to play quite a bit I scored 5 or six baskets and I had a lot of fun. That is about it.

Juneau games

While Juneau was here we played about ten games. The B-team won every game we played, and the A-team won two out of there five games they played. One of the games the A-team played went into double over time and came down to one point. We are also going to go to Juneau on Wednesday and we are going until Saturday I think. If we have Internet I will keep you posted on the games.

Brock's Birthday

Brock's birthday was yesterday and it was fantastic. All the kids came at four-o-clock and then played Wii for a while. Then went down to the state building and Duck taped flash lights to the laser tag guns and played laser tag. After that they came up to the house and had a mystery dinner. Also the night before Dad had gotten the projector from the church and we projected movies up on the wall. We also had gotten a ton of candy for the movies and Mom made popcorn. We almost ate all the candy and we watched the Green Lantern and that was the end of Brock's Birthday.

Basketball

Over the last couple of days Juneau has been in town. An so far the A-team has only won one game.  That was the one that was tonight and it was intense. It went into double over time and the crowd was as almost as loud as Kayhi. Also tonight is Rhonda and Scott's reception and it is going to have a ice cream sundae bar. We are going to the reception right now sorry I couldn't right more.

Thanksgiving

Hope you all had a splendid Thanksgiving, we sure did. We had turkey and ham and cranberry sauce (yum).  We all had a lot of fun watching football and eating, eating and watching football. We all went out to Walmart at ten because there was a big sale and we wanted to get an Xbox. But when we got there the parking lot was packed out and there were lines of cars waiting; we finally found a parking spot though. There where so many people there the police were there to help out the workers. It was crazy and they had the game systems hidden in the isles. We found the Xboxes and now we have one and that was the extent of our Thanksgiving Day.

Most of the kids were in the 50 and 40 but there were only 4 that went higher. I will also get some pictures of the church tomorrow and put them on the blog.  That is it for now.

Halloween

It was crazy and this year we went trick-or-treating with a big group of kids and each of the kids filled there bags to the top and then some. We had a bunch of different costums and we got pictures of every one hope you like the pictures.

One more thing the Schoenbar Basketball Team is doing a fundraiser and on Friday we are having a (free - throw - athon). Each team member is going to shoot 100 free throws; so I am looking for donations. I am looking for donations that are a flat rate or a one dollar for every shot I make. Cabin

Yesterday it was Sunday and the weather was decent, so after church our friends the Barajase's invited us out to there cabin. They are still building it and it is pritty big and lookes really nice. They have a big deck and  they are right on the beach. We had a barbaqu and pulled shrimp pots. We didn't get very many shrimp but it was a lot of fun and it was really cold I hope we can go out there again.
On Saturday the weather was horrible so we didn't do anything exciting. The only thing that happened was Charlie went to a basketball camp for four hours. She got a pink and white basketball a bag and a water bottle. Saturday night we watch a movie and have popcorn and licorice it was really fun. Well that is it for now.

I Made It

I made the Schoenbar basketball team! As a matter of fact I leave for basketball in 15 minutes. Yesterday I looked on the list and my name was on it along with half of my all star baseball team.  Last night we ran sprints the first half and hour. And then I had to walk home and go to youth group. We didn't do anything gross stuff in youth group so there isn't much to report about that. Tomorrow mom and dad are both working so we have to think of something to do. I think may be really fun so I will report on that.

Basketball try outs

I had basketball try outs yesterday, today and will have them tomorrow. I am trying out for the Schonbar Knights (7th/8th grade Middle School Team). There are around 38 other kids trying out and only 12-15 kids can be on the team. We are going to find out if I make it in the next couple of days. We are also going to the dentist tomorrow and Brock and Simon are going to get there cavities filled. Well that is about all that is going on right now for now.

Youth group

Last night I had youth group and we played two horrible games. The first game we played Zach Ben and I had to go in to the back room and goof around until the group was ready. After the group was done the only instructions we got was we had to run out to the living room and eat a ordinary peanut butter and jelly sandwich as fast as we could. So we ran out there and ate the sandwiches. After we were done they took us over in to the living room and told us to look at some other kids feet and there was peanut butter and jelly on their feet. We all ran to the sink and washed our mouths out. We did our lesson then played another game. This game game was crazy and since girls have hair that is not sopossed to get sticky the boys had to lay on the ground and holed cups in our mouths. While the girls stud on chairs and tried to get ice cream, choclet syrup Coolwip and sprinkles in to the cups that the boys were holding in there mouths. I think the girls were trying to dump it on our faces in stead of in the cup. That was the crazy thing I did yesterday. That is about it until next week.

Halloween costumes

Yesterday we went to the second hand store looking for halloween costumes. We didn't find any but after we looked around we went for a walk on the bord walk by the Cape Fox tram. While we were there we saw two seals in the water. They were swimming up and down the river. We think they were trying to get fish. I tried to get some pictures but I didn't get any good ones. After that we went to the mall and and I figured out what person I am going to pretend to be. I am going to be a hypnotizer and I am going to try and make a tie out of bright orange duck tape. If I do succseed in making the tie I will put some pictures on. I will keep on updating about the costumes but that is it for now.

Today

Today we were suppose to go clean up the property but it is really sunny so the workers worked on saturday. We might go out to ward lake today with our friends and have lunch. On Wednesday we went out there and made little pools of water and put fish in them and kept them as pets. So we are going to go see if our pools are still there. That is what we are going to do today.

Fish Hunting

On Saturday it was sunny so Brock road his bike

up. When we got out the there were fish in the small
creek and we tried to get some. Unfortunately
we had brought the dog and he all of a sudden had an unusual liking for fish. We kept fishing for a while but then we made chairs in the sand because Jedi kept stealing our fish.

WIND !!!!!

Last night we had another  really bad wind storm. When we got up this morning we went to basketball. After basketball it was really windy so we decided to go out to the beach, to see how big the waves were but when we got out to buggy's beach the biggest tree there had fallen and it was hanging over the parking lot. When we got home some one had called dad and said that one of the churches walls had fallen over.  Dad went straight out there and he said that the biggest wall had fallen over and broke in to three pieces.  He said the workers were cutting it up in to pieces and throwing it in to the burn pit.

Wind and Power

This morning when we got up at five thirty the wind and rain were coming down really hard so hard in fact that the power was flickering on and off in the house. When we went to look out the window we saw a big flash of green light, we almost never have lightning here so we thought it was a transformer blowing up. After the big flash all the lights on the light poles went out but it turned out not to be a power outage. That was the excitement of the day.

Green house

The fourth wall is up but it has been really bad weather and the over hang that we are building planing on building is causing problems. We don't no if we are going to build the roof on the ground and then put it up or if we are going to build it on top. Also we had a really bad wind storm and we went out to buggeys beach and there were huge waves big enough to surf on. So they were pretty big. Well that's about it for now.

Bear

Yesterday I had to walk to school like always but when I was coming home and I was about 3/4 of the way up the Schonebar trail I saw some of the bushes move. Thinking it was a bird or a kid running through the bushes I kept walking. I walked a little ways and I heard the bushes move again and I turned around and there was a bear 20 feet away not expecting it. It scared me really bad and I ran up the rest of the hill and half way down the street. That was my encounter with a bear.

The green house is almost done, dad is putting up the fourth wall today then comes the roof then it is done. well that's it for now.

So yesterday we went out to the beach and we saw some whales. At first they were a long ways away and I got a picture of it blowing. Then we all ran to the car and loaded up and drove out to another beach. They were bubble feeding and we got right up close; I had never see that before. When we got to the other beach there was a snorkel tour out there and there was one guy in the water swimming after the whale to get video. I got some great pics, sorry there so fuzzy I had my  Ipod and it doesn't zoom very well. Hope you like the pictures.
